Së shpejti portat USB 2 do të mund të shfrytëzohen edhe nga përdoruesit e "pinguinit". Do të jetë Kernel 2.4.19 i pari që do të suportojë një gamë të gjërë dispozitivësh USB 2.0, por, sipas kernel-developer, me kalimin e kohës suporti do të jetë komplet. Ndërkohë që USB 1 suporton një ngarkesë transferimi baraz me 12 mbps, 2.0 do të arrijë deri në 480 mbps. Të parat që e kanë përfshirë suportin (me anë një serie me patch) janë shpërndarjet SuSE dhe Red Hat.

Vihet në dispozicion të testuesve beta e dytë e versionit të ri të Red Hat. Mund t'a shkarkoni nga siti ftp i RedHat, duke klikuar këtu.

Lëshohet release candidate4 (dhe e fundit) e phpMyAdmin. Versioni final 2.3.0 pritet të lëshohet në datën 11 gusht.
Mund të shkarkoni këtë version nga faqja zyrtare e phpMyAdmin.
