organisations with a Unix environment.

Red Hat Linux on Intel-based processors offers cost advantages in
five areas: hardware, software, staffing, user training, and IT

SUCCESS STORY: SAFE, SOLID - AND SECURE

The Institute of Virology and Immunoprophylaxis, located near
Bern, Switzerland, is one of Europe's leading veterinary science
research facilities. It's a centre dedicated to improving the health
of livestock, and much of its research is dedicated to porcine
immunology, the study of Classic Swine Fever, African Swine Fever,
and Foot and Mouth Disease.

The Institute doesn't want any non-essential equipment in the laboratories. So, while scientists use PCs and workstations inside the labs, the servers remain outside, and security is essential. That's one
of the reasons they've chosen Red Hat Linux.
